Kek Lok Si (The Temple of Supreme Bliss) is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Penang. The temple is located on top of a hill in Ayer Itam. Its compound is big and house the biggest Buddhist Temple in Southeast Asia. This temple has undergone few phrases of expansion for more than 20 years and new buildings are built from time to time. The Pagoda of Ten Thousand Buddhas, which is one of the main attractions comprises seven tiers with unique design. It was built with a Chinese octagonal base with Burmese crown on top and a middle tier of Thai design. In the temple, you can see consists lovely shrines, various sculptures, beautiful gardens and a turtle pond.
