Penang, commonly known as "The Pearl of the Orient", is one of the most visited places in Malaysia. This beautiful state situated at the north of Peninsular Malaysia and comprises of Seberang Perai on the mainland of Peninsular Malaysia and a small island, Penang Island. Penang Bridge,the longest in Asia with length of 13.5km linking Seberang Perai on the mainland of Peninsula and Gelugor on the island of Penang is the icon of Penang. The ferry service is the oldest in the country, loyally providing service to the local people. Penang offers its charm through the clean and beautiful beaches and delightful variety of foods from different races. Its World UNESCO Heritage Site's status added its beauty to the island and makes it one of the popular attractions into the tourist's map. The hawker foods at the hawker center or stalls are the favorites of the locals and also tourists.
